Bologna, the mayor in the neighborhoods: "Reduce the outdoor seating in the center"

"We are halfway through the mandate, a moment that represents a turning point between what we have done and sown and what we still have to do, improving ourselves - Amorevole begins -. This is the only opportunity to discuss together with the residents ".
Which are the richest neighborhoods in Bologna? The ranking
Who take turns at the microphone, touching on various topics, such as the nightlife and the degradation in which Piazza Aldrovandi and Via Petroni are immersed, graphic vandalism and the redevelopment of the Lunetta Gamberini . And also mobility , Città 30 and public transport and the wild parking that occurs on the hill. And after listening to everyone, it is the mayor who takes the floor: "I would like the council to approve an agenda with the requests and issues collected in this meeting, because I do not want them to remain just words, but for us to make commitments - he says -. We must be able to do in the historic center what we have done in other areas" outside the walls, also because after such a long time "we need to make an overall point - continues Lepore -: there is a need for care, but also a complete vision to address the issue of nightlife and intergenerational relationships".
And then, "we are the first administration that after decades has managed to get to grips with disused railway and state-owned areas", such as Dumbo, which is connected to the Caprara meadows, and the Dopolavoro ferrovia, of which the Municipality has become the owner.
"We are acquiring other places that we want to regenerate , such as Caserma Masini – adds the mayor –, which will be reopened this summer. However, these are areas owned by the State, which must do its part, because we cannot think that the Municipality alone can solve the problems".
In September "we will propose to the city a comprehensive proposal on the historic center - Lepore concludes -, also discussing the outdoor areas , which we have reduced despite the national law on the Covid emergency. And personally I would like to reduce them even more ". While Lepore meets the citizens, Confabitare proposes a recent survey carried out by Demetra between March and April: "The Bologna described by the mayor as an example of good administration does not coincide with the one that citizens experience every day - thunders the president Alberto Zanni -. It speaks of progress and transformation, but the data gives us the image of a city that moves without a shared direction , lost among increasingly serious daily inconveniences".
The survey shows that "the average rating on the administration's work is just 4.8 out of 10 , and drops to 4.5 when the mayor is spoken of directly. This is data that tells us that we are facing a profound disillusionment, in fact 48% of citizens declare that they have always been skeptical and have remained so".
